Nathan Jones is a London-based painter. His work closely engages with the world of the theatre – figures can be seen as actors, landscapes as a stage and objects as props. Underlying these theatrical themes is a concern with notions of authenticity and the slippages between the real and fake. Central to his practice is a continuing and vigorous exploration of the medium of oil paint itself. He exhibits regularly and has twice been included in The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2016 & 2014), London. He gained an MA in Fine Art: Painting from Wimbledon School of Art in 2004.
